Haiti Earthquake
The poor country of Haiti was hit by a large 7.0 earthquake last night at approx. 4:50pm, causing a devistation like no other. The country hasn't had an earthquake of this magnitude in 200 yrs. This country doesn't have the resources to deal with this type of catastrophy and many, many people will be affected. I pray that they get the help they need to recover, and rebuild. The world we live in is a confusing, angry world, however there are good people out there and when a tragedy hits they come together to help. I do hope they surface here and help the poor people of Haiti. They are in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope they will be in all of yours as well.

Thanks for posting this. I've started a post about the situation in Haiti as well, because I just find it so devastating. I just can't imagine what they're living through right now.

This is very devastating! We know 2families who came home with children from there recently and another family who was scheduled to fly there TOMORROW (not an adoption trip), but flights got cancelled. I'm so glad they are all here and safe! It's an uncertain time that's for sure.
It sure hits home for those families who have children from there!
